giftgivingguidefortheartsygirl

Holiday- Edition! I know it’s ALMOST Christmas, and you’re still wondering what do I get someone in my life who is really artsy and is hard to shop for? Well, I’ve gone out and helped pick out some awesome designers and websites I love, (as I am an artsy type) to give you a little kick – to try to get those last minute gifts in before Christmas! – Hurry time is running out!

We first have Lara Miller, who seriously is rad. She’s located right in Chicago (swoon we love her). Her products are affordable, colorful and Eco-friendly – which is sure to sit well with those artsy type. I just love her colors! To check out Lara Miller visit : Lara Miller

Secondly we have custom made iPhone cases, you can purchase via Etsy  which for any type is a great gift because it makes super personal and fun for the person receiving!!!

Thirdly, we have the amazing Shana Logic, which is all handmade and indie goods, which ANY artsy girl loves anything handmade ( I’m a sucker for buying local). I love this site because not only does it have a wide range of gifts for him or her, it’s all handmade by artist so giving art to a artist – is awesome! I chose some cute bags that I think any artsy girl would love check out Shana Logic for more information!

Fourthly comes those amazingly dope sweatshirts you can’t live without, and being a foodie, and a love of strange things, I found this collection by GLINT. It’s funny but any dope type of sweatshirt will work, but this collection, I adore! Check them out to purchase here: GLINT

Lastly, I love accessories (if you can’t tell) I love bracelets and especially sparkly ones- that’s why any artsy girl can not adore these bracelets by Isabella Rose Designs. She is a local Chicago designer and I ADORE her work! I have to say these are not only amazing she has a lot to choose from, and even “good cause” bracelets which is going to satisfy any artsy girl in your life <3! I hope you also check out Isabella Rose Designs

Hello, Longtime no see, I know I know. You were probably wondering where I have been hiding? Well life, got kinda crazy but I am back in full swing- reposting  new looks and hopefully some new looks, plus I am working on alot more projects and now have motivation to post more looks, and work harder at this blog because I have been thinking about this blog and what it means to me and I’ve been thinking it’s time to work harder and post more awesome stuff, including inspiration, the blog itself will be getting a make-over soon I promise, a lot of new attitudes for the blog, because it is my project and my outlet to express my sense of fashion, being from the mid west it’s hard to find people here that share my love of fashion and my like of clothing, plus life has been crazy! I hope you can understand my time away from the blog, but it feels great to be back. I hope you are here to stay with me-

To the Future,

Love

Hey there, welcome to this weekend’s edition of Styledintheheartland, I’m sorry i don’t get to post much during the week, i have not a ton of time on my hands then , but today Was really cold. My friends took me to a park, where i shot photos for them (i do photography for my job). So i had a lot of fun in the park running around shooting and freezing to death. I chose this sweater because it has a lot of meaning to me, it was the sweater i purchased right before i moved out of Chicago and i haven’t worn it since last year, and i was 65lbs heavier so it brought back memories putting it on I really want to focus on my jewelry. The Leaf Necklace i am wearing was made by a jewelry company called Decadence, which i found out through Handmade City. Andrew, the designer creates one of a kind vintage pieces, and He’s so incredibly talented. I love this necklace it took me forever to decided when i purchased it. If you really want to check his work out i will drop Decendances Facebook and etsy links at the bottom of the post. I really hope that you are all staying warm out there, next weekend i will have a special post, as i travel back to Chicago a year later to relive my time there. I will hopefully be meeting some other bloggers and friends and i will be attending a few events and some shopping. Until Tomorrow, xx

Fall Is Here, Lets Get Away to Bishop Hill.

Hey guys, thank you for joining me on this delightful saturday. I recently (today) went to Bishop Hill IL its a little town in IL with all kinds of crafts, little shops, demonstrations, and all kinds of good foods. It was a ladies day with my church, so i decided to wear something fun and purple. We cant forget about how great purple is special deep purple in the falls is. I admit i look somewhat a bit horrid today mainly is because im sick with a sinus infection but i was a trooper and went anyway today. I got to try lots of great foods, look at alot of cute things and i purchased a few jems from Peasant Works- (you can read about them here: (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Peasant-Works/188845943561) Its a cute little barn full of antiques hand made items. I enjoyed taking a lot of photos for this beautiful trip.  I tried all kinds of foods, apple butter, a lovely turkey sandwhich . Bishop Hill was a very fun neat city to join if your interested in learning more about the place its self you can visit them at (http://www.bishophill.com/) I hope you enjoy my short posting today, as i recover have a great weekend xx.

Gimme that Celebration Fever!

Hey Guys! Welcome to Sunday Funday! Thanks for again joining me for some fun. Today I was on my way to a partay for my cousin who got married yesterday so I wanted to choose Warm, but yet Casual. In my family we are big on thrifting, especially me if you know from reading my blog. So I took my butt to Salvation Army yesterday and found these amazing Slim-fit straight pants in a rich blue color that I fell in love with! I also found a sparkly sweater that I fell in love with and have been dying to wear this vintage clock necklace (YO’ FLAVA FLAV YEAHHHH! BOIIII). Also found this great locket last night that I wanted to wear. I had so much fun pairing neon accents with a casual look (see, I told you all neon rules!). I am also loving this little cute, clutch I sported all day, it was an awesome find last night too! I can’t believe the weekend is all over! I hope you enjoyed this shorty posting, and I cant wait til next weekend’s fun! xx
